Rear-End Collisions on Highways Can Lead to Severe Crashes
Rear-end collisions on high-speed highways can quickly become serious incidents, particularly when vehicles lose control and leave the roadway after impact.
Roadways such as Interstate 80 carry large volumes of traffic through regions like Lincoln County, Nebraska, where both passenger vehicles and commercial traffic frequently travel at highway speeds.
When a vehicle strikes another from behind, the force can cause vehicles to roll over or cross medians into opposing lanes. Investigators reviewing crashes in areas such as North Platte, Nebraska, typically analyze vehicle speeds, driver actions, and roadway conditions to determine the factors that contributed to the collision.
