Buckeye, AZ (June 25, 2026) – One person was taken to a hospital early on Wednesday morning, June 24, after a house fire in Buckeye. The fire happened at a home near 222nd Avenue and Desert Bloom Street, in a neighborhood off Yuma Road near Verrado Way.
Emergency units arrived and found the fire inside the home. Crews contained the flames to the kitchen and kept them from spreading farther through the house.
One resident had burn injuries and was taken to a hospital. Their medical status was not confirmed in the first report. No emergency workers were hurt. Two adults and one child were displaced because of the fire.
A representative from the Buckeye Fire Department helped the family seek support after the fire. Authorities are reviewing what caused the flames to start.
We hope the injured resident receives proper care and recovers safely.
Why Kitchen Fires Can Lead to Burn Injuries
Kitchen fires can spread quickly because heat, grease, towels, packaging, and cabinets may all be close together. A small flame can become dangerous fast if it reaches nearby items.
Burn injuries may need hospital care even when the fire is contained to one room. Doctors may check the skin, breathing, and any pain caused by heat or smoke exposure.
House fires can also displace families after the flames are out. Smoke, water, and electrical damage can make a home unsafe for children and adults. Early reports regularly focus on where the fire started, whether anyone was hurt, and how many people need temporary support.
