Why Motorcycle Crashes Often Result in Serious Outcomes
Motorcycle crashes can lead to severe injuries because riders lack the protection of an enclosed vehicle. Even at moderate speeds, impacts can result in serious harm.
Collisions involving larger vehicles can increase the risk due to size and weight differences. The point of impact and how the rider is thrown from the motorcycle can affect the outcome.
Roadway conditions, visibility, and timing all play a part in how these crashes occur. Awareness from both riders and drivers can influence safety on shared roads.
