What Is Typically Reviewed After a Side-Impact Intersection Crash?
Side-impact crashes at intersections are often examined in terms of right-of-way and traffic signal conditions. Investigators typically review which vehicle had control of the intersection at the time of impact.
The angle and point of collision can provide insight into how the crash occurred. These details help determine how each vehicle entered the intersection and whether any evasive actions were taken.
Vehicle size and structure are also considered, especially when a passenger car is struck by a larger truck. This can influence the severity of injuries and overall crash outcome.
