What Makes Golf Cart Accidents More Dangerous Than Expected?
Golf carts are often seen as low-speed vehicles, but they can still lead to serious injuries during a crash. Unlike standard cars, most golf carts do not have doors, airbags, or strong structural protection, leaving drivers and passengers more exposed.
Ejection is a common risk in these incidents, especially during sudden impacts or sharp turns. Without proper restraints, riders can be thrown from the cart, which increases the chance of head, neck, and limb injuries.
Road conditions and shared spaces with larger vehicles can also raise the level of risk. When golf carts travel near regular traffic, even a minor collision can result in severe damage due to the size and weight difference between vehicles.
