What Typically Contributes to Multi-Vehicle Crashes on Florida Roads Late at Night
Late-night crashes involving multiple vehicles on busy Florida roads often share a few common traits. Reduced visibility, higher speeds, and fewer other drivers on the road can all affect how quickly a situation turns dangerous. When one vehicle loses control or makes an unexpected move, nearby cars have very little time to react.
Sideswiping incidents, in particular, can quickly escalate when vehicles are traveling close together at speed. A single contact between two cars can send one or both into adjacent lanes, triggering a chain reaction. The presence of poles, medians, and other fixed objects along roads like University Dr in Sunrise adds to the risk once a vehicle leaves its lane.
