Teen Driving Safety and Nighttime Risks
Car accidents are a leading cause of injury and death among young drivers. Fatigue, inexperience, and nighttime driving can increase the likelihood of collisions, especially on rural roads with curves, trees, or limited lighting.
Teens are encouraged to avoid distractions, drive at safe speeds, and ensure they are well-rested before getting behind the wheel. Wearing seat belts significantly reduces the severity of injuries in crashes. Awareness of roadway conditions and adhering to traffic laws are critical for preventing accidents in areas with higher hazards, such as rural or forested routes.
