What Factors Are Often Considered in Head-On Collisions
Head-on crashes are among the most serious types of roadway incidents due to the direct impact between vehicles. These collisions often occur when a driver crosses into oncoming traffic, whether due to distraction, fatigue, or impairment.
Speed can increase the severity of these crashes, as both vehicles may be moving toward each other at the time of impact. Safety features like seatbelts can help reduce injuries, but the force involved can still lead to serious outcomes.
Road conditions and driver awareness also influence how these incidents occur. Narrow roads or limited visibility areas may increase the chances of a vehicle drifting into the wrong lane.
