Alcohol is believed to have been a factor in the crash. No additional details about the events leading up to the accident have been released. Authorities continue to investigate the cause of the crash, and more details will be released as soon as they become available.
Our condolences go out to the family of the young man who lost his life.
How Rollover Crashes Can Happen on Unpaved or Rural Roads
Rollover crashes can occur when a vehicle leaves the roadway and strikes objects like rocks or uneven terrain. On unpaved roads, loose surfaces, and sudden elevation changes can make it harder to maintain control.
When a vehicle hits a fixed object at speed, it can cause the vehicle to flip, especially if it begins to roll after impact. Multiple rollovers increase the risk of serious injury, particularly if occupants are not properly restrained.
Ejection during a crash is often linked to more severe outcomes. Seat belt use and reduced speeds on unfamiliar or rough roads can help lower the risk of losing control.
