What Factors Can Contribute to Rollover Crashes on Highways
Rollover crashes can occur when a vehicle loses control and strikes barriers or other objects. Excessive speed, due to highway speeds, often contributes to the severity of these types of crashes. Also, this increases the likelihood of losing control, especially on curves.
Another factor could be the use of alcohol, which reduces reaction time and judgment, often leading to overcorrection. Other causes, like fatigued drivers, can cause a drift off the road and then sharply steer back, triggering a rollover.
Also, medical emergencies while driving can significantly increase the risk of losing control.
