Mequon, WI (April 13, 2026) – Seven people were injured Monday morning after a barn collapse in Mequon, prompting a large emergency response.
According to the Southern Ozaukee Fire Department, the incident occurred around 10:00 a.m. near the intersection of Range Line Road and County Line Road.
Emergency crews arrived to find that three individuals were trapped beneath the collapsed structure. A coordinated rescue effort involving multiple agencies was launched to safely remove those trapped.
All three individuals were successfully rescued from the debris.
A total of seven patients were transported to area hospitals with injuries ranging from minor to serious.
Initial reports indicate the barn roof was under construction at the time it collapsed. OSHA officials responded to the scene as part of the investigation.
Authorities have not yet determined the cause of the collapse.
